Music Obsessed in October

 Hi Friends!

I started off today thinking that I was going to be writing ALL about the new music that came out this month... but by the time I went to make a list of it all. There was over 50 new albums and over 200 singles. So, instead of boring you all to death with a long list. I am going to talk to you about a few up coming albums to look out for and how you can support your favorite artists!

We all know 2020 has been a bitch. This pandemic has taken so much away from the entertainment business, but most importantly concerts. Concerts are not just the biggest money revenue for the music industry, it is also the one time that performers and their fandoms get to interacted on a personal level. Artists have turned to social media to connect with their fans until the day we can jump up and down to our favorite songs again. So, what do we do till then?

    Buy Their stuff!

Buy their physical or digital albums. Every time someone downloads songs on Spotify or Apple music the artist is paid anywhere from 6-80 cents. That is right I said CENTS for their own song! Of course I am not saying don't use these apps just make sure that you are buying a copy straight from your Artist. If you are not into buying their CDs then buy merchandise, attend virtual signing, or E-concerts. Artists are coming out with fun and interactive ways to connect with fans, so don't miss out!

Vote!
The most effective way to support your favorite artists is to vote so they can win awards (wining awards = big money) which means more music for us! At any time you can go on to: Billboard.com, MTV.com, iheart.com and vote it takes no more that 1 minute to vote and it helps so much!

  2. Hi Tiler,

This was such a great read!

I can't believe artists only get 6-80 cents when you download a song on Spotify. I'm always looking for ways to support my favorite artists, so thank you for writing some tips!

I have a friend who is starting his own music and I'm looking for every way I can support him. I'll make sure to share this on FB!
